Weekly weather report

The weather was pretty this weekend and I managed to take some photos outside. The colors of the nature are changing, and leaves fall. When sun shines, it's nice and warm, and you could almost forget that it is the end of the September already.

After some (eh) years I also took out my bike. With sunny and dry weather it was truly wonderful to cycle around, and it was quicker, easier and more fun that I remembered. But the wind was freezing, I needed to take out my gloves too so it is almost October.

I played with my tweeds, too, and made two birdie-bags. Looking those pictures (above) you could almost think that it's summer still but no. Just the season for tweed though, my friends!

Happy Monday, and stay warm!

We too have had a sunny weekend - but still had the woodburner going each afternoon.
The bags look gorgeous Mia.

You seem to notice and write about the weather a lot.

Great bags Mia, just right for this time of year!
We too had a lovely weekend but needed to light the fire in the evenings.
Dull this morning but at least it's dry.
Have a good week Mia. :)

Hi Pam!

We had fire going also here in the evening yesterday and this morning too. Now it's nice and sunny (but cold) and a wonderful start for a week - have a happy one!

Mia

Hi Mia,

Glad you got some sunshine and could get out to exercise on your bike-Fab!
Saturday was stunning here but yesterday was dreadful: wind, rain the lot! I think we had 4 seasons in one weekend ;0)
Love the new tweed tweet totes, (try saying that quickly!)just right for this time of year.

Happy Monday,
Love Jane x

Hi Jane,

I thought you'd be pleased to hear me biking ;) I actually did that today too instead of taking the car!

Hi Mia, Loooovvvvvvve, the bags, the tweed, birds and all. Love the way you photographed the bags too. Bike riding, wheeeee, indeed I have been riding off an on all summer a bit cool lately mittens a must. My bum gets a bit sore at time but it so much fun and brings out the child in one doesn't it?

Enjoy the weather even if it's cool I'll take it over snow.

Have a great week, Hugs, Dani

Hi again, Periwinkle!

And yes, hats and scarves AND mittens when biking but no need for wellies today - sun shines again, yippee!

Sunshine to you from Finland!

Yours,
Mia

Thank you, Jeannie!

And oh how we would already need those pretty hat&scarf-set of yours here today, it's been in minus during the night and now is just above zero :( autumn, huh? But it's beautiful and sunny, and I wish your a wonderful day too!

Yours,
Mia

Hi Dani,

That's so right, biking brings out the child (and hopefully those long lost muscles too!) and hey, wearing good clothing (and mittens are a must!) and with sunny weather it's just perfect!

Happy and crafty week!

Yours,
Mia

This time of the year...

Usually around this time, when children go back to school, and you can just about to smell the autumn, I start to dig deeper in my fabric...
