It's the month of the Lily again

Do you still remember last year, when I posted about the Lily of the Valley's around here? Those pictures were taken some weeks later than these, and spring is also somewhat late this year, so there's not that much to take pictures of yet, but the idea of the month of the Lily is definitely here.

Oh those tiny green buds are just enough to get me inspired to create bags and pouches with colors of beautiful greens and white (and some birds, you know me)

And some more...

And still some just off my needles to be washed, felted and decorated. Not a beauty yet, but like those little buds I just know it'll be pretty soon.

Happy and hopeful Saturday!

Yours,
Mia

How quickly a year goes by Mia. I love the constancy of nature; it is so reassuring that whatever the weather spring does finally come. Enjoy your lilies, they are inspiring such wonderful bags. The sun is finally out here and we have spend all day working in the garden..Billy has loved it ;0)
Happy weekend my friend,

I think I might have written this last year, but when we bought our house, the area where we built our extension (now our kitchen) was covered in a mass of lily of the valley. My plan was to try and save some, but sadly the builders ignored me and just dug the lot out. They were my Gran's favourite flower, I still think of her when I see them.

Lovely work, as always. Bethx

Oh and thanks for your lovely comment over at TLC, sorry to hear you haven't been well. I hope you're back to full health soon!

Hello Beth,

Sorry to hear that you lost your Lilies, they have the most wonderful scent. Your builders were probably all men without any memories of their grannies favorite flora? I remember my gran giving me my first perfume when I was about 4-5years and it was the Lily of the Valley...I still have a vivid memory of it after *ahem* a few years!

Have a great weekend!

Yours,
Mia

Hello Teje,

Kieloja yes, they are the May-flowers to me! And with any luck they'll open during this month this year too :)

Happy weekend!

Lovely lily of the valley! I have some in my garden too and it looks so pristine and perfect. Your lily of the valley makes are delightful, Mia! And I love all the thought and details you've put into them, like the matching lining fabric.
Have a wonderful week!

This time of the year...

Usually around this time, when children go back to school, and you can just about to smell the autumn, I start to dig deeper in my fabric...
